We're a group of guys from the medical campus of Stellenbosch University who cycle across the country to raise funds for our fellow students in financial need.
This movement started in a residence called “Hippokrates”, but the dream was to help the whole campus. The two words together forms “Hippocampus”.
The Hippocampus is a special part of the brain that regulates emotions, the formation of memories and the process of learning.
We chose this name because it says who we are and what we want to do – we want to improve the mental health and the experience of learning on our campus, by decreasing the financial burden that our fellow students experience and through that helping men to live healthy lives which shapes what will soon be a new memory of men.
